As a United Methodist Church,
We are a welcoming Christian fellowship who celebrate and share God’s love with everyone.
We seek a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. Inspired by His example, we strive to be God’s hands in this world.
Empowered by God’s word, we proclaim the Gospel and serve through worship, study, mission, and community suppor
Events and churches have long gone together because church families enjoy time together. Events provide great fellowship for the congregation and the community. So, whether it is the church picnic or a pot luck supper, we see our church calendar as being a vital part of the life of our church.
As a church community, we are called to be a community of prayer. We are called to be a body of people who continually pray for God’s blessing on one other, and on our ministry. Prayer defines who we are. It mirrors the very way we approach all areas of our life together
What if church was a way of life, rather than simply a place to go on Sundays? That’s what "Love Grow Serve" is all about.
How can we help others to find a spiritual journey to call their own? By showing that there isn't just one door into the church, but thousands of doors through which a person can become engaged.
We have been called to explore new ways to serve today's seekers (especially young adult seekers) through media relevant to their day and culture.
As Christ found the right format for the sharing the message of God's Kingdom, so we believe that "Love Grow Serve" connect with people living in a digital on demand world
Our hope is that "Vision 2020" will become a movement that would make Jesus proud of Woodbury UMC.
While there is no doubt about the fact that reading is a priceless activity, it has been observed that the habit of reading has declined of late. One of the main causes for this decline is the growth of technology.
However, what most people don’t know is there is so much to benefit from reading.
Reading a book can relieve stress better than taking a walk or listening to music.
Reading requires an individual to think and process information in a way that watching television can’t. The more you read, the deeper your understanding becomes about what you’re reading and its application.
Life is full of challenges. Books help us better to discern good ideas from bad ideas.
Reading a book allows us to learn about different approaches to life and the problems we face. By doing this, you get an opportunity to discern what has worked in the past and what has not worked. Basically, you learn to make better decisions in life.
Woodbury UMC provides online giving or those of you who wish to have your offerings transferred electronically to the church’s account.
Electronic Giving makes life easier for you and yields significant benefits for our church.
Here is how it works: You authorize a specific amount of money to be electronically transferred directly from your checking, savings, or credit card account to the church’s account. You also specify the frequency of the transfer. Of course, you can cancel your authorization at any time.
Your online giving offering will be posted to your account just the same as if you had written a check or used cash. We are provided a transaction report listing names, dates, and amounts. Funds are automatically deposited into our bank account.
You may choose to direct your offering to the church budget, to the building funds, or any other church mission project or fund.
